Lone Star Fur Con (LSFC) is a furry convention in Austin, Texas, organized by Anthro Outreach LLC. After two editions at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown, which drew 880 inaugural attendees in 2025 and a sold-out 1,179 in 2026, LSFC moves to the larger Hilton Austin Airport for 2027 under the theme "Mix Tape".
LSFC's third edition runs February 25-28, 2027 at the Hilton Austin Airport (9515 Hotel Dr). The "Mix Tape" theme was announced from the stage at LSFC 2026 closing ceremonies and is the visual identity for the convention's first edition in its new, larger home.
The 2027 tier ladder runs Attendee $60 early / $70 regular, Sponsor $120 / $130 (themed T-shirt, themed lanyard, sticker pack, one random collectable art card), and Super-Sponsor $180 / $190 (everything in Sponsor plus four art cards, an LSFC-branded tote, a themed enamel pin, an art poster, and a free opt-in to the Guest of Honor Meal that costs $50 as an add-on for any other tier). Day passes for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are pre-order online only and not sold at the door.
The convention is organized by Anthro Outreach LLC, the same operator that ran the first two editions.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is the nearest airport, and for 2027 it sits directly adjacent to the convention hotel. The Hilton Austin Airport sits on Hotel Drive a roughly 5-minute drive from the terminal, and many attendees can use a short rideshare from baggage claim or the hotel's airport shuttle if running. AUS serves direct flights from most major US cities and runs dedicated rideshare pickup zones for Uber and Lyft.
For driving attendees, the hotel is accessible from the Dallas/Fort Worth area (about 3 hours north on I-35), San Antonio (about 1.5 hours south on I-35), and Houston (about 2.5 hours east on US-290/TX-71). Amtrak's Texas Eagle stops at the downtown Austin station, which is roughly a 15-20 minute rideshare from the Hilton. Greyhound and FlixBus also serve Austin from regional cities.

The hotel block opens in Summer 2026 according to the official site, so watch the LSFC announcements and Bluesky for the booking link and any negotiated convention rate. The property is a full-service Hilton with on-site dining, meeting space sized for a multi-thousand-attendee convention, and direct airport access that the previous Midtown venue did not have.
Lone Star Fur Con 2026 drew 1,179 attendees to its On Clockwork Wings steampunk-fantasy edition at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown, a 34% jump from 2025. The convention raised $4,000 for Queertopia, the fursuit parade counted 226 walkers, and Neffertity served as Guest of Honor. The edition sold out across every pass tier under a one-time hard attendance cap, prompting the 2027 venue move to the larger Hilton Austin Airport.
Lone Star Fur Con debuted with a strong showing of 880 attendees at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown. The inaugural "Wild Furry West" themed event raised $4,198 for Queertopia, with Semira as Guest of Honor, running February 28 through March 2.

2026 hard cap → 2027 venue move
LSFC 2026 ran under a one-time hard attendance cap and sold out completely across every pass tier, including day passes. The convention announced from the stage at closing ceremonies, and on Bluesky the same week, that 'this is the ONLY year we're going to have an attendance cap' and that 2027 would move to a bigger hotel. The new home is the Hilton Austin Airport (9515 Hotel Dr), adjacent to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, replacing the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown that hosted the 2025 and 2026 editions.
Music-video contest with a 2028 super-sponsor prize
LSFC runs a year-out attendee music-video contest tied to the next edition's Opening Ceremonies. The winning entry is screened in front of the room at the start of the convention, and the winner also receives a free Super-Sponsor pass for the following edition. The 2026 contest (rules at tinyurl.com/LSFC27Mu...) feeds the LSFC 2027 'Mix Tape' opener and a paid-up registration to LSFC 2028. That two-edition forward loop, where one summer's creative submission earns both an on-screen moment 8 months later and a top-tier pass 20 months out, is unusual among US furry conventions.
Day passes are online-only, never at the door
The Attend page spells it out directly: 'Day passes will not be sold at the door and must be purchased online prior to LSFC 2027. Availability is limited.' Friday, Saturday and Sunday day passes each have a separate (TBD) price, and there is no walk-up option. Most peer US furry conventions sell day passes at the door for cash or card; LSFC's all-online policy is a 2027 carry-over from the 2026 hard-cap sell-out, designed to keep on-site numbers predictable in a much larger hotel.
