Wild Furloween West 2026 | Fort Worth Furry Convention Guide (WFW) 2026 is scheduled for Oct 30-Nov 1, 2026 in Fort Worth, United States.
Wild Furloween West is a furry Halloween festival held in Fort Worth, Texas. Debuting in 2026, this Dallas-Fort Worth event leans into a spooky, Texas-style hoedown atmosphere, celebrating anthropomorphic art, fursuiting, and community over the Halloween weekend. The convention takes place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fort Worth South Hotel & Conference Center.
Wild Furloween West kicks off October 30 to November 1, 2026, landing squarely on the Halloween weekend for its very first year. As an inaugural event, it positions itself as a costume-friendly, Halloween-flavored gathering for the DFW furry community and visitors from across the region.
Theme, guest of honor announcements, and registration pricing had not been published at the time of writing. Check the official site for the latest details before booking.
Wild Furloween West fills a seasonal niche that few conventions occupy: a dedicated furry Halloween celebration. Holding the event on Halloween weekend means costumes, spooky decor, and themed programming are front and center rather than a side attraction. For Texas furries, it adds a fall option to a calendar already anchored by larger spring and summer cons, and as a brand-new convention it offers the chance to be part of a community event from its very first year.

From attendees
By air: The nearest major airport is Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), with Dallas Love Field (DAL) as an alternative. Both serve the wider metroplex, and rideshare or rental car is the most direct way to reach the DoubleTree Fort Worth South.
By car: The DoubleTree by Hilton Fort Worth South sits along the I-35W corridor on the south side of Fort Worth, with on-site parking available at the hotel.
By transit: Public transit options in the Fort Worth area are limited compared with rideshare. Most out-of-town attendees rely on rideshare or a rental car between the airport and the venue.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Dealer rules ban AI-generated art with table-forfeit teeth
The published vendor policy goes further than most furcon dealer rules: any work that is AI-generated, AI-derived, or advertised using AI art will be flagged for removal, and depending on circumstance the vendor's entire table may be forfeit with no refund. That removal-request to table-forfeiture escalation is the structural pivot. Combined with the Sept 30 refund cutoff for dealer table fees and the published Texas Sales Tax Permit requirement, the artist-protectionist enforcement clause has real teeth at the inaugural edition.
Halloween-themed tier ladder with a Ghost Rider Dealer's Den head-start
The 2026 tier ladder runs Attending $65 / Midnight Sponsor $150 / Werewolf Sponsor $250 / Ghost Rider $500 at pre-reg, a coherent attendee-to-spectral-apex spine tied to the Halloween-weekend hook. The structural pivot sits at the top: Ghost Rider buys a VIP dinner, an exclusive photoshoot, and a published ten-minute Dealer's Den head-start ahead of other Sponsors. Quantitative head-start perks (in minutes, not vague VIP language) are uncommon at inaugural editions and signal a deliberate tier-economy design rather than a generic sponsor stack.
Crossed Paws Events Corp runs WFW as a temporary for-profit, then nonprofit
The mission page publishes an unusual operational-transparency clause: Wild Furloween West is temporarily a for-profit organization run by Crossed Paws Events Corp until business expenditures are recovered, after which the org plans to apply for nonprofit status. Most new US furcons either launch under an existing 501(c)(3), launch as a permanent LLC, or stay quiet on legal structure. Naming the operating entity AND the conversion plan is the editorial signal, attendees can read exactly how the inaugural-year financial structure flips once launch costs are recouped.
