AnthroExpo (AnEx) runs each February in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves as the first major US furry convention of the year. Attendance has grown steadily since its founding.
Held every winter, AnthroExpo balances convention programming with a welcoming community atmosphere. Supported by mascots Andrea (a Scissortail Flycatcher) and Exavier (a Prairie Dog), the convention has grown from 600 attendees at its 2020 debut to nearly 1,500 by 2025.
AnEx is known for its marketplace concept, "The Bazaar," which merges the Dealer's Den and Artist Alley into a single shopping experience.
For February 5-8, 2026, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Norman hosted the "Corporate Takeover" theme. The 2026 edition drew 1,867 attendees and raised $18,000 for Pivot, continuing AnEx's support for at-risk youth in the local community.
