AnthroExpo (AnEx) 2027 is scheduled for May 27-30, 2027 in Norman, United States. The announced theme is Maskfurade.
AnthroExpo (AnEx) runs each February in Norman, Oklahoma, and is the first major US furry convention of the year. Attendance has grown steadily since its founding.
Held every winter, AnthroExpo balances convention programming with a welcoming community atmosphere. Supported by mascots Andrea (a Scissortail Flycatcher) and Exavier (a Prairie Dog), the convention has grown from 600 attendees at its 2020 debut to nearly 1,500 by 2025.
AnEx is known for its marketplace concept, "The Bazaar," which merges the Dealer's Den and Artist Alley into a single shopping experience.
For February 5-8, 2026, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Norman hosted the "Corporate Takeover" theme. The 2026 edition drew 1,867 attendees and raised $18,000 for Pivot, continuing AnEx's support for at-risk youth in the local community.

Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) is the nearest commercial airport, located about 18 miles northwest of the Embassy Suites in Norman. The drive takes roughly 25 minutes via I-35. Rideshare services (Uber and Lyft) operate between the airport and Norman. There is no shuttle service from OKC to Norman, so plan for a taxi or rideshare fare of around $30 to $40.
Norman sits directly along I-35, about 20 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City. If driving from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, expect roughly a 3-hour drive north on I-35.
The convention is held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Norman Hotel & Conference Center, located at 2501 Conference Drive, Norman, Oklahoma 73069 just off I-35. Convention room perks include free hot breakfast and two complimentary drink vouchers per night for guests 21 and older. The hotel's suites sold out in recent years, with overflow rooms available at the Residence Inn by Marriott across the street at around $139/night for a king bed room. Book early through the convention website for the best availability.

AnthroExpo 2026 drew 1,867 attendees at the Embassy Suites Norman, continuing its strong growth. The convention raised $18,000 for Pivot, a local organization supporting at-risk youth, under the playful "Corporate Takeover" theme.
AnthroExpo 2025 attracted 1,450 attendees and raised $17,801 for Pivot. Guests of honor included RadWah, Wolf & HOWL OUT, and Keagan, with the "Rebel Paw" theme running January 30 through February 2.
The 2024 edition brought in 1,094 attendees with the "8-Bit Heroes" theme, raising $14,000 for charity.

Saturday night, the whole con floor goes 18+
AnEx does not hand its 18+ programming a single side room. When Anthro AfterDark opens on Saturday night, the con floor itself changes age rating, as the convention announced live from its own account: "All attendees under the age of 18 must leave the con floor. For our adult attendees, please be prepared to show your wrist band. If you haven't received yours yet, please come to info desk with ID." Adults are wristbanded at the info desk against photo ID, and the floor stays adults-only for the rest of the night.
Returning to Sisu Youth Services after three Pivot years
AnEx rebuilt its charity history rather than chasing a bigger new reveal: 2019-2020 went to WildCare Oklahoma, 2022 to Sisu Youth Services for the first time ($7,777), 2023-2025 to Pivot ($14k → $17.8k), and 2026 is a deliberate return to Sisu, "Sisu will be returning as our 2026 charity partner!"
