SussexFurs

SussexFurs is a furry community for Sussex and the surrounding area, with its regular meets held at the BMECP Centre in Brighton. The group is run as a Community Interest Company and puts on a ticketed afternoon meet most months, plus seasonal specials and parties. Its listed dates for late 2026 were a Halloween Special on Saturday, October 17, a regular meet on November 14 and a Winter Party on December 12.

What to Expect

A typical meet runs from 1pm to 6pm in the group's meet room at BMECP. The September 2026 Furcade meet, an arcade gaming special, gives an idea of the day: a 1pm start, a fursuit lounge until 5:45pm, a fursuit group photo at 4pm and a raffle draw at 5pm. Other meets have their own themes, and the October 2026 Halloween Special planned a Halloween room with pumpkin carving. Tickets for that meet also offered a keychain add-on at checkout.

There is an artist corner with up to four free vendor tables for fursuit makers and artists who hold an attendance ticket, booked through the SussexFurs contact form. You may bring your own food and soft drinks, but not anything containing nuts, and the organizers ask you not to share food because of allergies.

The meet rules are strict and worth reading before your first visit. Fetish attire is not allowed at the venue; collars may be worn subtly, but leashes, harnesses and other BDSM gear may not. Alcohol above 15% ABV is banned at the meets, and anyone found drinking it, or supplying it, faces a suspension. Always ask before touching anyone or taking photos, and fursuiters are encouraged to bring a handler.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets are sold through the SussexFurs box office on Ticket Tailor, which is also linked from the official site. For the October 17, 2026 Halloween Special, an early bird ticket was 4.99 GBP and general admission 6.99 GBP, both before booking fees. Recent meets went on sale at 7pm about two weeks ahead, and the organizers said Winter Party tickets would go on sale at 7pm on the day of the Halloween Special, in limited numbers. The organizers announce each release on the SussexFurs announcements channel.

The meets are strictly 18+.

How to Get There

Regular meets are at the BMECP Centre, 10A Fleet Street, Brighton, BN1 4ZE, and the official site links a map pin for the building. Check each event listing before travelling, because special nights can use a different venue, as with the November 2026 club party in Portsmouth.
