NoVA Furs at As You Are

NoVA Furs at As You Are

NoVA Furs at As You Are is a free monthly furmeet in Washington DC. It runs on a Wednesday evening near the end of each month at As You Are, a queer bar and cafe in southeast DC between Capitol Hill and Navy Yard. The coming meet is on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

What to Expect

The meet is a relaxed evening of chatting with other furries in the upstairs event room, which has a game room next to it. The bar downstairs serves food and drinks, and the organizers ask guests to order something from it. The hosts encourage fursuits, and one of them takes photos during the meet.

The meet itself is not adults-only. The venue is open to all ages before 9 pm and becomes adults-only after that, so the 6 pm to 8 pm meet fits inside the all-ages hours.

The upstairs room is not wheelchair accessible, but the cafe space downstairs is.

How to Get Tickets

Entry is free and there are no tickets. You can RSVP on the NoVA Furs Meetup group, which lists each month's meet and any changes. You pay only for what you order at the bar.

How to Get There

As You Are is at 500 8th St SE, Washington, DC 20003. Eastern Market Metro station, on the Orange, Silver and Blue lines, is one block away. Parking nearby is very limited, so the organizers suggest the Metro or carpooling.
