Furry Sunfest

Furry Sunfest is a new furry convention from Furry Colombia, the team behind Moonfest. Its first edition is planned for September 2027 at the Hotel Mocawa Resort in La Tebaida, in Colombia's coffee region of Quindío. The theme is "Tiempo de carnaval": the colour of carnivals from all over Colombia, in a furry version.

2027: Tiempo de carnaval

Sunfest 2027 is announced for September 2027. The exact days, registration and prices are not published yet, and the organizers say more news will follow soon. Where Moonfest is a cold-climate stay in the highlands of Boyacá, Sunfest moves to a warm resort with pools and palm trees.

Why Attend?

Sunfest is planned as a few days of parties, costumes and community at a resort, rather than a city convention centre. It comes from the same team that ran Moonfest in 2026, so attendees of that event will know the organizers. If you want a furry trip to Colombia's coffee region, this is the event to watch.

What Are the Highlights of Furry Sunfest?

• Carnival theme: The 2027 edition is built around the carnivals of Colombia.
• Resort setting: Pools, a solarium and the coffee landscape of Quindío.
• Moonfest team: The same organizers as Moonfest, Colombia's 2026 highland furry retreat.

How Do I Get to Furry Sunfest?

By air: The resort is about 10 minutes from El Edén International Airport, according to the hotel.

By car: The Hotel Mocawa Resort is at kilometre 2.6 of the road from La Tebaida towards Valle del Cauca, about 5 minutes from the town square and 20 minutes from Armenia.
