A year-by-year record of this convention
Open an edition to see the details that belong to that year.
Furway 2026 ran July 10-12 at Åstjern hyttetun, with optional Early and Late stays from July 9-13. The official site says the edition is over, but its own channels have not published an attendance figure. The 2026 charity supported Furrest in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Furway 2025 ran July 17-21 at Åstjern hyttetun, using the same hybrid model of three main days with optional early and late stays. No public theme, attendance figure, or charity total has been published for the edition, so we record none. Åstjern Summit, which earlier appeared here as a theme, is the venue name and was never announced as one.

3 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Medicurity, Furway's fused medical+security volunteer corps
Where most sub-100-attendee outdoor cons split medical and security into informal ConOps duty, Furway fuses them into a single named volunteer team called Medicurity, eight slots, mandatory intro course on arrival, with team lead Viribus (Telegram @Foxieh) also sitting on the board as Chief Security Officer. The board sibling Phase carries the Chief Medical Officer title alongside Finance and IT. Operationalised public-health staffing with C-suite-style accountability is uncommon at a 94-bed Nordic camping con, it's the structural inverse of the usual "we'll find a first-aid kit if anyone needs it" pattern at peer retreat-format events.
Published shuttle schedule from train and bus to a roadless venue
Brandbu has no walkable stores or public transport to the venue, so Furway operates its own internal Transport team, nine volunteer drivers using their own (preferably 5-seat passenger) cars, reimbursed for mileage, with team lead Iraxt publishing the actual weekend timetable: arrival pickups Thursday 14:00-20:00 and Friday 12:00-20:00 from Bleiken train station or Brandbu skysstasjon bus station, departures Sunday 12:00-20:00 and Monday 12:00-16:00. The booking handshake is a single Telegram message to Iraxt 30 minutes before arrival. The same team doubles up as on-demand store-runners during the convention. Most rural cons settle for "rideshare channel"; Furway runs a published timetable with a named human.
Catered tickets with shoes-off cabins and 6 included meals
In 2026, standard tickets (2,300 NOK Inside / 2,200 Outside) bundled six included meals, two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners across Friday-Sunday, run by Åstjern's caterer plus a 19-slot volunteer kitchen team. Shoes were not permitted inside the cabins (bring slippers), single-day tickets were 400 NOK flat with no food included, and overnight stays were strictly 18+. Children under 12 could attend the day program free but had to leave by the 19:00 minor curfew.
