Anthros & Alpine is a winter sports furry convention held at the Sole Gjestegard lodge in Noresund, Norway, near the Norefjell ski resort. Organized by the team behind Furway and Furnavia, it combines skiing, snowboarding, and fursuiting on the slopes with a cozy Nordic lodge atmosphere featuring communal dinners and fireside gatherings.
Located near the Norefjell ski resort, which has Scandinavia's largest elevation drop at over 1,000 meters, this convention is geared toward outdoor enthusiasts. The 2027 edition, its third, runs January 14-17, 2027 back at Sole Gjestegård, with early arrival available on Wednesday, January 13, and attendees can ski, snowboard, or fursuit on the slopes.
Non-skiers get free beginner lessons and full gear rentals, plus an indoor heated pool and a lounge bar at the resort.
Run by the volunteer team behind Furway and Furnavia, Anthros & Alpine runs as an 18+ Nordic lodge weekend. After a day on the slopes, attendees gather at the lodge for multi-course dinners, late-night karaoke, DJ sets, and board games by the fire.
All three days, panels, parties, karaoke and the game lounge, group activities and a ski instruction session, with breakfast, a packable lunch and dinner included.
The same access with a two-day Norefjell ski pass attached, which the convention prices 270 NOK below buying the pass separately.

Booking a room through the convention is required to attend and there are no day tickets, so the ticket price above is never the whole cost. Room rates are per person per night and every one of them includes breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner. A pizza and salad buffet on the Wednesday evening is a separate 225 NOK pre-order.
The nearest major airport is Oslo Airport, Gardermoen (OSL). From Oslo, the journey to Noresund takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by public transport. On weekdays, take Bus 200 from Oslo to Hønefoss, then Bus 241 onward to the Olberg stop near the hotel. Bus 241 runs on weekdays only, and a late Bus VY170 from Oslo reaches Sokna, which needs a car pickup for the last stretch. The hotel is easy to reach by car with free on-site parking. On Sunday a paid bus runs from the hotel to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, and the organizers can help arrange other transport if you contact them in advance.

The convention is held at Sole Gjestegard (Krøderfjordveien 1610, 3536 Noresund), a traditional Norwegian lodge near the Norefjell ski resort. Booking a room through the convention is required to attend, and rooms range from singles and twins to family rooms for three or four people. Every room rate includes all meals (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner buffet, dessert, coffee, and tea) plus access to the heated indoor swimming pool. The lodge is the sole venue, so there are no overflow hotels nearby.

Anthros & Alpine 2026 ran January 29-February 1 at Sole Gjestegard near Norefjell. The second edition, and the first at Sole Gjestegard after the March 2025 debut at Noreheim Mountain Lodge, established the convention's winter-sports format with skiing, snowboarding, full-board lodge meals, afterski programming, karaoke, game lounge time, and shuttle support from nearby train stations.

A Sunday bus straight to the airport
On Sunday a bus leaves the hotel for Oslo Gardermoen Airport at 11:30. It is a paid service, and the organizers warn that the drive can take a couple of hours depending on road and weather conditions, so book your flight with that in mind. Anyone who needs another way out can contact the organizers to arrange transport.
Norwegian alcohol law cited in the CoC, plus a flat leash ban
The Code of Conduct cites Norwegian law explicitly: a hard 60% ABV / 120 proof ceiling on any alcohol brought to the lodge, plus the standard public-space drinking ban. Two body-policy quirks sit alongside it: smear-safe makeup is permitted but body paint is banned, and leashes are prohibited outright, most peer cons cap leash length, A&A bans them flat.

The 900 NOK Sponsor upgrade sits on top of a convention ticket and comes with a convention T-shirt, a custom sticker set, a mascot fridge magnet and a paw-print carabiner, plus early registration for A&A 2028 and a name credit in the official aftermovie. For 2026 the sponsor tier also carried a free entry into a Suite Upgrade Lottery that Standard buyers could not join.
