World Wild Fur Camp (WWFC) is an annual furry camping weekend in Ohio, run by its own staff team since 2018. The organizers stress that it is not a convention: campers sleep in shared cabins, eat meals cooked by the camp, and spend three days hiking, gathering around campfires and taking part in guild activities. The event is 18+ and strictly SFW.
Each camper picks a guild when registering, and each guild has its own cabin and a guild master who hosts the group for the weekend. The current site lists eight cabins holding up to 14 people each, and an event cap of 104 attendees. The camp serves three meals a day, with breakfast at 8 AM, lunch at noon and dinner at 5:30 PM, and the weekend pass includes an ice cream social. Activities listed by the organizers include hiking, a visit to the Warren Rupp Observatory, a rave, games, a guild market, shows, open mic and campfires. For the 2026 camp, themed Fur Scouts, the organizers announced K9INE as their first DJ and Shutter Bear as Guest of Honor.
The rules reflect the camp setting. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere on the property, a rule the organizers say comes from the camp's insurance. Fursuits must stay at least 10 feet from fires and are not allowed in the cafeteria during meals. Campers must have a buddy with them when exploring. Pets are not allowed: only task-trained service animals may come, emotional support animals may not, and the FAQ warns that there are farm animals on site.
Registration for 2026 has closed, and the site says it will reopen for the 2027 edition, themed Vault Life, whose dates have not been announced yet. For 2026 the weekend pass cost $120 and covered admission, two nights in a cabin bunk, three meals a day and the ice cream social. There are no one-day passes. The FAQ says you can register up to three weeks before the event, although in 2026 registration stayed open until September 25, one week before camp. Refunds are available until two weeks before the event, but not for campers who leave early. Check the official World Wild Fur Camp site and the camp's Bluesky account for the 2027 announcement.
The 2026 camp moved to Hidden Hollow Camp, 5127 Possum Run Rd, Bellville, Ohio 44813, in Richland County. The organizers describe the site as about an hour from both Columbus and Cleveland. Rolling luggage helps, because you may walk some distance from your car to your guild cabin. Bring bedding, firewood and a cooler with your own ice if you want extra drinks, since stores and a gas station are nearby but not on site. Cabins have no attached bathrooms; the camp has two shower houses.
No. WWFC calls itself a camping retreat rather than a convention: you stay in a guild cabin for the weekend, meals are provided, and the programme is built around outdoor activities and campfires.
No. Since the end of 2023 the event has been 18+ and SFW, and the camp also keeps a PG standard on the property, with a dress code and no alcohol.
Yes. Every camper gets a bunk, but you need to bring your own blanket and pillow, and you may bring an air mattress instead of using the bunk.
The 2027 camp has been announced with the theme Vault Life, but its dates and price have not been published yet.
