Shigamofu (しがもふ) is a fursuit meet in Otsu, Shiga, organized by 秋月 (Akizuki) and a staff team. Entry is by invitation or referral only, so there is no open ticket sale.
Earlier editions used the Former Otsu Public Hall, a 1934 building that is a registered tangible cultural property. A larger special edition, Shigamofu EX, moved to the Biwako Otsu Prince Hotel on October 3, 2026, and used part of its Omi convention hall. The next edition is still unannounced.
The Shigamofu 4 schedule set reception at 10:30, the opening at 11:00, the group photo at 13:30 and the close at 19:00. The main room was the third-floor hall, with men's and women's changing rooms on the second floor. The organizer asked volunteers to watch the changing room doors for about 30 minutes each.
The hall is a protected historic building, so take care with its fittings. Attendees wear their entry badge where it can be seen, and the organizer bans anyone who ignores staff instructions from future events it runs. The mood is meant to be relaxed: a day to enjoy meeting other people and their characters.
There is no public ticket. For Shigamofu 4, the organizer accepted applications only from mutual X followers of the organizer, people invited by staff, past attendees, or people referred by an attendee after checking with staff. For Shigamofu EX, attendees needed an invitation from the main staff or a referral from someone already registered, then filled in a Google form and applied on TwiPla. Applications for Shigamofu EX closed on September 28, and there was no same-day entry. We have no information on ticket pricing. Follow @shigamofu for announcements.
The Former Otsu Public Hall is at 1-4-1 Hama-Otsu, Otsu, Shiga, about a minute's walk from Biwako-Hamaotsu Station on the Keihan line and about 15 minutes on foot from JR Otsu Station. By car it is about 15 minutes from the Otsu interchange of the Meishin Expressway. The hall has no car park, so use nearby pay car parks.
