LOVEBITE is the Boston area's queer furry dance and social party, hosted at Union Tavern in Somerville. Self-described as "Boston's furry dance & social party," it fills a gap in New England's furry nightlife scene. The intimate venue and DIY ethos make it one of the most personal queer furry events on the East Coast.
LOVEBITE runs from 8 PM to 4 AM at an intimate bar venue. The small size means full fursuits can be tight; partials, hoods, ears and tails are more practical. Street clothes, fursuits, and gear are all welcome. The FAQ asks attendees to avoid changing into rubber gear in the bathrooms because spilled lube creates a safety hazard.
DJs play electronic, dance, and house music. Past lineups have included POOLS, DJ D-PROGRAM, MAWS VS PAWS, VDL, RIROH, MORDECAI, GLITTERMUTT, GENKI, WATAUGA, NONSTOPPUP, and SZOP. The atmosphere is explicitly kink-friendly and queer-friendly. Coat check is $3.
Door cover is typically $20. Editions tend to sell out, and the April 18, 2026 Union Tavern edition sold out before the door. Tickets are announced on the LOVEBITE Announcements Telegram channel, usually 2 to 3 weeks before each edition. Check lovebite.party for the next confirmed date.

No. LOVEBITE is explicitly kink-friendly. Fursuits, gear, and casual attire are all welcome.
You can, but the venue is intimate. Partials, hoods, and ears/tails are more practical for the space, and the FAQ notes that Union Tavern "cannot accommodate more than a few fursuit totes."
As of June 2026, the next Boston edition has not been confirmed. The org typically hibernates over winter between Furpocalypse and AnthroNewEngland, and announces new dates on the LOVEBITE Announcements Telegram channel a few weeks in advance.
