Pawska is an English-speaking international furry convention held in the northern Polish coastal city of Gdańsk. Made by furries for furries, Pawska deliberately keeps an old-fashioned, intimate scale, prioritising cozy, social events and close relationships between staff and attendees inside a protective community bubble.
Pawska returns November 26-29, 2026 at Hotel Amber in Gdańsk under the theme "Night of the Werewolves." It is an 18+ event, with total attendance capped at 300 to preserve the convention's close-knit atmosphere. Registration opens on 20 June 2026.
Standard registration is 199 PLN (roughly €47). Because spots are limited, attendees are encouraged to register promptly once sign-ups open.
Pawska is built for furries who want a small con. Numbers are hard-capped and the programming leans social, so you end up recognising most of the attendees and the staff by the end of the weekend. As an English-speaking convention drawing fursuiters from across Europe, it is an easy pick for international travellers who want a more personal experience.

Four full convention days, 26 to 29 November, checking out on the 30th
ONLY THE BASE RATE IS PUBLISHED. The convention states 199 zloty, about 47 euro, on its own event page, and Sponsor and SuperSponsor tiers exist - the FAQ discusses a SuperSponsor shirt that cannot be bought separately at any price - but their figures sit behind the registration login at pawska2026.volskarfurevents.eu and are not public. Tier can be upgraded later from the Membership Panel. The name on the payment MUST match the name on the Pawska profile or the payment cannot be linked, which the convention warns may cost you a room in the main hotel. Attendance is only confirmed once payment is validated. Pawska runs four FULL days including the last, so the stay ends with checkout the following morning.

Pawska takes place entirely within Hotel Amber Gdańsk (ul. Powstańców Warszawskich 45), which offers around 113 sleeping spots across all room types, plus a lobby, restaurant, and spa. The convention runs throughout the hotel, including three large halls in the basement.
With only about 113 on-site sleeping spots and a 300-attendee cap, in-hotel rooms go fast.
Pawska 2025 was the event's first full convention-format edition at Hotel Amber. The organizers report 150 attendees, 65 of them fursuiters, from around 15 countries. It established the intimate, English-speaking, internationally minded format that the 2026 edition builds on.

2 quirks & policies that don't fit the highlights grid.
Roomparties until 2AM with a late-bar agreement
Pawska publishes an explicit pro-roomparty policy and pairs it with a late-bar agreement with Hotel Amber: the restaurant bar stays open until 2AM each convention night, with a bartender working late specifically for attendees, while attendees can party loud in their rooms until 2AM without the hotel intervening. The convention also rents the entire hotel, so fursuiting is allowed anywhere in the building. The combination of a published roomparty carve-out, a negotiated hotel-side bartender shift, and full-property privatization is structurally distinct from the "we have evening dances" framing most cons settle for.
VFE was born from a roomparty at Gdakon
The Jungle Juice Party - VolskarFurEvents' signature event - was first held at Gdakon 2022 in the apartment room of a friend, after the VFE chairman wanted to celebrate furry conventions returning post-COVID. The party drew about a third of the convention, went viral, ran two more Gdakon editions, and in 2023 moved permanently to SloFluffCon's main stage in Ljubljana. VFE's Telegram groupchat was born from that first Gdakon room, and the association that now runs Pawska grew out of it. Pawska itself is independent of Gdakon organizationally, but its parent org's genealogy traces directly back to a Gdakon roomparty.
