Noctfurnal is an 18+ furry camping and music festival in rural Carsonville, Michigan. Trading the hotel ballroom for an outdoor venue and on-site camping, it builds its weekend around DJs, the outdoors, and a "fun, sun, camping, and music" vibe.
Noctfurnal 2027 runs July 16-18, 2027. The convention announced the dates on its own Bluesky and is already taking DJ and performer applications for the lineup. The 2027 venue, ticket prices and registration date have not been announced yet, so check the official channels before booking travel.
Noctfurnal is for furries who'd rather pitch a tent than check into a hotel. The festival leans into the outdoors and a strong music focus, with sets running across the weekend and camping baked into the ticket. As a strictly 18+ event in Michigan's quiet "thumb" region, it offers a laid-back, festival-style alternative to the convention-center circuit, ideal for attendees who want sun, sound, and a campsite among the fandom.
Schedule and programming for 2027 is not published yet.
The price for 2027 has not been announced. The figure is from 2026, for reference only, so check the convention's own site before you budget.
By air: The nearest major airports are Flint (FNT) and Detroit (DTW); Carsonville is in Michigan's Thumb, northeast of Detroit.
By car: The 2025 and 2026 editions were held at the Hi-Way Drive-In Theater, 2778 Sanilac Rd in Carsonville, in rural Sanilac County. Driving is essential, and the festival is built around on-site camping once you arrive.
By transit: Public transit to rural Carsonville is limited; plan to drive or arrange a carpool through the convention's channels.
Noctfurnal is a camping festival: registration includes an on-site camp space, so your tent or rig at the venue is the standard way to stay. There's no hotel block built into the event; attendees who prefer a roof can look at lodging in the wider Carsonville/Sandusky area, but camping is the heart of the experience.
