Hex Furry Festival (HFF)

Hex Furry Festival (HFF) is an online furry EDM festival held in VRChat and streamed on Twitch. Each edition builds a new VRChat world and fills it with a weekend of DJ sets, and the festival is free to attend. The organizers have announced that HFF9, in December 2026, is the last one.

2026: HFF9, the Final Chapter

HFF9: Echoes of Tomorrow: Memories of a Forgotten Future runs December 18-19, 2026, on Pacific Time. On July 4, 2026 the team said that this year's festival would be its last, and the organizers call HFF9 the final chapter. They moved it later in the year, closer to the holidays, so that more people can join. DJ applications for HFF9 closed in August, and the lineup and schedule are not published yet.

Why Attend?

HFF is a free furry dance festival that you can join from anywhere with a VR headset or a desktop VRChat setup. DJs from the furry scene play back-to-back sets across house, trance, hardstyle, drum and bass and more. If you do not use VRChat, you can still listen along on Twitch. HFF9 is the last chance to go, and the team says it is putting everything into a farewell edition.

What Are the Highlights of Hex Furry Festival?

• A new world each year: The 2024 edition went to the moon with "Paws on the Moon", and the 2025 edition went back to the festival's deep-sea base.
• Back-to-back DJ sets: Each day runs a full lineup of DJs, and the sets are replayed and posted to the festival's YouTube channel after the event.
• Twitch streams: Every set is streamed live on the festival's Twitch channel.
• Con badges: In 2024 attendees could pick up a festival badge in the Discord server.

How Do I Get to Hex Furry Festival?

You need a VRChat account to be inside the festival world. In 2024 and 2025 the organizers asked attendees to join the HFF group in VRChat to enter the event instances, and in 2024 each instance had room for 60 people, with separate US West, US East and EU instances. To watch without VRChat, open the Hex Furry Festival Twitch channel. The organizers post joining details on their Bluesky account, Telegram channel and Discord shortly before each edition.

Where Should I Stay for Hex Furry Festival?

You do not need a hotel. HFF happens in VRChat, so you attend from home. Check the time zone: HFF9 is scheduled on Pacific Time, so European and Asian attendees will hear many sets late at night or in the morning.
