Furcan is a Mexican furry convention held in Puebla at the Wyndham Puebla Angelopolis, running since 2018. Organized by the local group Furros Puebla, it is Mexico's second major furry convention after Confuror and uses a freemium model: free general admission plus three paid tiers sold via Google Form.
Furcan returns July 17-18, 2027 under the "Corazón de Héroe" (Heart of a Hero) theme, announced by the organizers in the same post that closed out the 2026 edition. Registration details, package tiers and the charity partner had not been published at the time of writing.
Furcan runs as a two-day Saturday-Sunday convention at the Wyndham Puebla Angelopolis, with free general admission alongside paid tiers sold through a Google Form rather than a payment gateway.

Hermanos Serdán International Airport (PBC) in Puebla is located about 30 to 40 minutes from the city center and handles domestic flights plus some international routes. For wider flight options, Mexico City International Airport (MEX) is the main gateway, with bus connections from MEX to Puebla taking roughly 2 hours. ADO, Estrella Roja, and Futura bus lines operate frequent departures between Mexico City and Puebla, with one-way tickets around $250 to $400 MXN.

The Wyndham features an indoor pool, fitness center, on-site restaurant and bar, free parking, and bilingual (Spanish/English) staff; booking goes through hotelesaristos.com or the Wyndham brand site. Attendees who want city-center access instead can stay in Puebla's historic Centro Histórico district, where options like the NH Puebla Centro Histórico and budget lodging near the Zócalo put restaurants, shops, and colonial architecture within walking distance, with the venue about 15-20 minutes by rideshare.

Furcan 2026 ran July 18-19 at the Wyndham Puebla Angelopolis on the "Choque de Mundos" (Clash of Worlds) theme, a time-travel story that split attendees into past-team and future-team factions at registration. The organizers reported 323 attendees.
The package ladder ran Caverna ($650 MXN, prehistoric tier), Máquina del Tiempo ($1,100 MXN), and Año 5000 ($1,700 MXN, future tier), with general admission to the convention floor free. Programming included an origami workshop, a live-anatomy drawing session, a Drink & Draw at the host hotel bar, and a Saturday-night "Fiesta en Caverna" off-site party. The closing-day charity auction raised $13,650 MXN for Mestizos Sin Fronteras, an animal rescue working with abandoned and mistreated dogs.
Furcan 2025 ran the "Spies and Casinos" theme and is documented in MDX as a December 1-4 event at 768 attendees raising funds for Rufo A.C. Protección Animal. (Some community references quote a July 2025 date instead; this is flagged for re-verification on the next research sweep.) The 2025 edition also introduced an adults-only "Misión Cabaret" tier with unlimited-cocktail access that does not return in the 2026 family-friendly lineup.

Ticket sales via Google Form, no payment gateway
Furcan sells its three paid tiers (Caverna $650 / Máquina del Tiempo $1,100 / Año 5000 $1,700 MXN) exclusively through a Google Form, there''s no Stripe checkout, no integrated payment gateway, and no cart on furcan.com.mx. After submitting the form, attendees receive payment instructions by email and can contact the @FURCANCITO Telegram bot for support. The freemium model means general admission stays free; the form is only for swag-tier upgrades.
Past-team vs future-team faction question on registration
The 2026 Choque de Mundos (Clash of Worlds) registration form asks attendees to pick a faction, past-team or future-team, tied to the time-travel theme. The pick rides through the convention rather than being a registration novelty, with tier names (Caverna / Máquina del Tiempo / Año 5000) reinforcing the prehistoric-vs-future split.
Sister-programs: FurCan Camp and FurCan de Viaje
Beyond the main hotel convention, the Furros Puebla org runs two named sister-programs: FurCan Camp (a campamento outdoor weekend) and FurCan de Viaje (travel meetups across Mexican states). The portfolio approach treats Furcan as a brand rather than a single annual event, unusual at this scale and absent from Confuror''s programming.
