Suitwalk Linz is a free twice-yearly fursuit walk through the city of Linz, organized by the Suitwalk Linz Team. The org frames itself on its homepage as "der größte Suitwalk in Österreich" (the biggest Suitwalk in Austria) and runs the walk along a fixed Danube-promenade route from the Hauptplatz-Tiefgarage past the Brucknerhaus concert hall, the Lentos Art Museum, and out to Donauland. Registration runs through the org's own portal at reg.suitwalk-linz.at, and non-suiters are welcome to join as spotters, photographers, or guests.
The group walks at a relaxed pace along Linz's cultural mile across the Danube, with planned photo stops at the Brucknerhaus (officially flagged as the photo break on the org's route page) and along the Lentos Art Museum waterfront. Spotter and medic volunteers coordinate over radio along the route to keep the group safe and visible, and registration is split by category (fursuiter, spotter, photographer, guest) with a published capacity cap. NSFW content on suits is banned outright. After the walk, many attendees head to the monthly FurMeet Linz gathering at Wiazhaus Lehner, which the Suitwalk page links out to as a suggested afterparty. The two orgs share the @AustrofursLinz Telegram channel ("Linzer Furry Stammtisch") for meeting-point logistics but are otherwise separate.
Registration is free and runs through the org's own portal at reg.suitwalk-linz.at, with sign-in via Telegram or Google. The portal opens a registration window per edition with a capacity cap and a live category counter, so check the official site for the current registration window and confirm the next date there before you travel. Meeting point and exact start time are also announced on the @AustrofursLinz Telegram channel and the @Suitwalk_Linz Twitter account.
The meeting point is the Hauptplatz-Tiefgarage in central Linz, which sits under the main square and is well served by trams, buses, and the main station a short tram ride away. From there the route crosses the Danube and follows the riverside promenade past the Brucknerhaus and the Lentos Art Museum out to Donauland. If you are driving, the Hauptplatz underground garage is the natural park-and-walk option; if you are coming by train, walk or tram in from Linz Hauptbahnhof.
No. The registration portal explicitly lists spotter, photographer, and guest categories alongside fursuiter, so non-suiters are welcome to join the walk and there is space in the capacity cap for them. You can also come to the FurMeet Linz meetup at Wiazhaus Lehner afterward whether or not you own a fursuit.
Yes. The walk is free, with no ticket required, and registration through reg.suitwalk-linz.at costs nothing. Any food or drinks at the Wiazhaus Lehner afterparty (which is a separate FurMeet Linz event) are your own expense.
The Suitwalk Linz Team, structured with a Hauptorganisator (main organizer) plus Mitorganisatoren (co-organizers) and helpers, runs the event. It is not the same org as FurMeet Linz, even though the two share the @AustrofursLinz Telegram channel for community logistics. As of June 2026 there is no Verein (ZVR-registered association) listed in the site's footer, so the org operates as an unincorporated community team rather than an Austrian eingetragener Verein.
It is a twice-yearly walk, once in spring and once in autumn. The spring 2026 edition (2026-05-16) has passed; the next edition is the autumn 2026 walk, currently listed as 2026-10-10 but worth confirming on suitwalk-linz.at before you travel because the date renders from the org's registration backend rather than a static page.
