Minifurr

Minifurr is a small furry weekend held in a cottage at Polnička, in the Žďár Highlands of the Czech Republic. Furries from Czechia, Slovakia and further away spend a long weekend there with grilling, beer, a sauna and walks in the forest. Attendance is by invitation only. The organizer's site says: "Public registration is closed. Con is for invited persons only."

What to Expect

Minifurr is a meeting of friends more than a show. The programme page promises a relaxing, fun weekend with no difficult or serious panels. Days are spent on walks, bike rides, mushroom picking or swimming in the nearby lakes, and evenings by the fire or in the sauna. In 2026 there was grilling on Thursday, a roast pig on Friday and goulash on Saturday, with Kofola and beer through the weekend. A raffle is drawn on Saturday evening, and all the money from raffle tickets buys the prizes. The cottage has a Finnish sauna for six to eight people with a pool for cooling down, paid per hour and split among the people who use it.

How to Get Tickets

There is no public ticket or registration route, and we have no information on ticket pricing. Invitations for 2026 went out by email in July. Long-time attendees and people who came the year before were invited first, and others after them. No dates for the next Minifurr are out yet; watch the official Minifurr site for news.

How to Get There

The venue is Chata Sauna Polnička, Polnička 212, 591 02 Polnička, on the edge of the village along road 350. Driving is the best way to get there, according to the venue page. Žďár nad Sázavou is about 8 km away, and the big lake Velké Dářko is close to the village. Guests stay at the cottage, which has 31 beds in rooms of three to six on the upper floor. When the cottage is full, the organizer points invited guests to a nearby pension.
