Kigu Festa (着ぐFesta!) is a one-day kigurumi meetup in Arakawa, Tokyo, run by GarageStudioC7, a local kigurumi try-on studio. It is a general kigurumi event, not a furry event: the organizer invites "kigurumi wearers and kigurumi fans", and you can join without owning a costume. The organizer calls it beginner-friendly and says nearly half of its attendees are at their first kigurumi event.

The 9th edition in September 2026 had a volunteer stage at 13:30, a group photo at 14:00 and a rock-paper-scissors prize draw after it. Costume rental, a dealer table and merchandise ran all day. The rules ban hugging, bare skin, swinging long props and photographing over another person's shot, and masks come off only in the changing rooms and cloakroom. From the 9th edition the hall also has a zone for revealing costumes, kept apart from the no-exposure area.
Fursuiters: the organizer never mentions kemono or furry suits, and its 2024 winter special said kemono suits could not join because the changing rooms were too small. Ask the organizer on X before you bring a fursuit.
Registration for the 10th edition runs through the organizer's TwiPla listing. The fee is 2,500 yen, raised from 2,000 yen for this edition, and the listing has 80 places. Do not arrive before 10:00: the organizer asks visitors not to wait inside the building.
