Furwaukee

Furwaukee is the Milwaukee area's general furry meetup group, running free meets for local furries since 2018. Its regular fixture is a bowling and arcade meet at Landmark Lanes, held every month or two, and the group also organizes fur walks, beach meets in summer, restaurant and movie outings and potlucks. Everything is planned in the Furwaukee Meetups Telegram chat, which is a SFW space. A Landmark Lanes meet was set for Saturday, October 10, 2026, and the date of the next one has not been announced yet.

What to Expect

Landmark Lanes is a bowling alley, bar and arcade that the organizers call the "underground city", and it is fursuit-friendly. Fursuits are encouraged but not required, and plenty of people come in regular clothes. A typical meet starts in the late afternoon, with pizza in the early evening and a group photo before it wraps up. For the October 10, 2026 meet the plan was to hang out from 4pm, have free pizza at 6:30pm, take the group photo at 7:45pm and finish at 8pm.

Bowling is not always covered by the event, so check the announcement; for the October 2026 meet, bowlers were told to pay for their own lanes. The venue becomes 21+ only after 9pm, and after the meet some attendees usually move on to a 21+ afterparty at Von Trier across the street.

How to Get Tickets

There are no tickets. Meets are free to attend, and you only pay for your own bowling, games, food or drinks when the event does not cover them. Dates, start times, carpools and any changes are posted in the Furwaukee Meetups Telegram chat, and the SEWI Furs Bluesky account also shares the Landmark dates. The organizers ask you to DM the host in advance if you have pizza topping requests.

How to Get There

Landmark Lanes is at 2220 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53202. MCTS bus routes 21, 30 and the GreenLine stop within a block. There is a free public parking garage at 2401 N Maryland Ave as well as street parking. If you are cycling or riding a scooter, the Oak Leaf Trail and the bike lanes on E North Ave lead there.
