AquatiFur is a furry convention held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, combining standard convention programming with an indoor waterpark setting. It drew 1,945 attendees in 2025 and raised $20,000 for Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary.
AquatiFur 2027 runs October 8-10, 2027 at the Chula Vista Resort, with the theme "Liminal Space". Both were posted the day after the 2026 edition closed, and registration opened the same day. Weekend badges cost $50 until December 1, 2026, and the price then steps up four times before the convention. Guests of honour and the charity partner for 2027 have not been announced yet.
Organized by Anthro Events Inc, the convention is built around its indoor waterpark setting. The resort setting keeps things loose: attendee-led panels, casual meetups, and pool parties. The organizers provide dedicated "fursuit drying rooms" so attendees can suit and swim throughout the weekend.

The nearest commercial airport is Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison, approximately 55 miles south of Wisconsin Dells. MSN offers flights on United, American, and Delta. General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee is about 130 miles away but has a wider selection of flights and carriers.
Wisconsin Dells sits along I-90/I-94 between Madison and Minneapolis, making it easy to reach by car. From Chicago, the drive is roughly 3 hours north. From Minneapolis, plan on about 3.5 hours southeast. Parking at the Chula Vista Resort is free with plenty of space available.

The convention is held at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, a full-service resort with over 600 hotel suites, condominiums, and villas. The resort includes indoor and outdoor waterparks, pools, restaurants, and a spa. Staying on-site means attendees have direct access to the waterpark and convention spaces without leaving the property.

AquatiFur 2026 ran October 9-11 at the Chula Vista Resort under the "Legends of the Hidden Temple" theme. Plush maker Lairbrew and Cheetah Cove were the guests of honour, and the Chippewa Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center was the charity partner. The convention's hotel room block sold out by September 21, and the organizers said the resort still had rooms outside the block while they worked on overflow hotels. On the Saturday the convention shared the resort with two weddings. The 2026 attendance and the amount raised are not published yet.
AquatiFur 2025 saw a record attendance of 1,945 at the Chula Vista Resort. Close to $20,000 reached Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary across the weekend, $12,415.92 of it through the convention itself and the rest through individual donations and merch sales. Guests of honour Dustin DaHusky and Twining Tree headlined the November weekend.
The 2024 edition ran November 8-10 and drew 1,243 attendees, with Eaglidots and Fenne Cat as guests of honour and Feathered Friends as the charity partner. It remains the only furry convention in the Midwest built around an indoor waterpark.
AquatiFur 2023 ran October 27-29 at Chula Vista Resort under the "Oktofurfest" theme. The official history and conbook identify Feathered Friends as the charity and Fursewna Studios and Wooperworks as guests, while attendance and the charity amount remain unpublished.
AquatiFur 2019 drew 560 attendees for the "Sail the Haunted Seas!" edition in Wisconsin Dells. The event raised $7,090 for Feathered Friends and helped establish AquatiFur's waterpark-convention identity.
The 2018 edition was held January 11-13, 2019 and drew 463 attendees. It raised $5,276.69 for Feathered Friends while keeping AquatiFur active through an unusual delayed schedule.
AquatiFur's first public edition ran October 20-22, 2017 and drew 533 attendees. The launch raised $5,018 and introduced the Wisconsin Dells resort format that still defines the convention.

Fursuits are explicitly banned from the pool and hot tub
The single most distinctive structural fact at "the waterpark con." The AEI Code of Conduct (Dress Code section, last updated January 31, 2025) states verbatim: "Fursuits are not permitted in the pool or hot tub. Hotels may ask that suiters not be in these areas at any time."
