Furry Not New Years, or FNNY, is the Irishfurries community's big annual party in Dublin, held each January just after the real New Year. It is a ticketed 18+ night of DJs, drinks and dancing at DV8 Bar & Venue, and the organizers call it the biggest party in the Irishfurries calendar. FNNY 2027 takes place on Saturday, January 9, 2027, and the organizers say it marks ten years since the party began.
Doors open around 6pm for socialising, and furry DJs play sets from 6:30pm until the party closes at 1am. Finger food, including vegetarian and vegan options, is part of the ticket, but the organizers ask you to eat a proper meal beforehand. Each year's party supports a chosen charity through ticket sales and bucket collections on the night, and for 2027 that charity is Hedgehog Rescue Dublin.
Fursuits are welcome but not required. DV8 has a dedicated fursuit changing room with volunteer attendants, a dancefloor, and a private smoking and vaping area. The venue is spread over a main floor and a mezzanine reached by stairs, so suiters with limited vision or mobility may want to stay downstairs. Food and drinks are everywhere at a bar night, and the organizers point out that looking after your suit is your own responsibility. There will be no fursuit group photo in 2027; the organizers say they will make other arrangements for photos where possible.
Past editions were run as SFW nights, with leashes, puphoods and kink gear banned for the whole evening. Staff and volunteers wear lanyards, and the organizers run a zero-tolerance policy on antisocial behaviour and harassment.
Tickets go on sale on Eventbrite on November 1, 2026 at 8pm Irish time. General entry is 22 euro plus fees. A sponsor ticket costs 35 euro plus fees, includes the standard ticket and an FNNY goodie bag, and is only on sale until November 8 at 6pm.
FNNY sells out quickly. The 2026 party was sold out eight days after tickets went on sale, and the organizers expect 2027 to go fast too, so follow the Irishfurries announcements channel for the release. There are no ticket sales at the door, and each person can buy a maximum of two tickets. Transfers are only possible through Eventbrite's own system, and refunds are not available from December 9, 2026, one month before the event.
You must be 18 or older on January 9, 2027. The 2027 listing says age is checked with government-issued ID, and bus passes and student cards are not accepted. At past editions the organizers gave a passport, driving licence or Garda age card as examples, and asked that the name on the ID match the name on the ticket.
FNNY 2027 is at DV8 Bar & Venue, 131 James Street, D08 HH96, Dublin 8, the same venue as in 2025 and 2026. According to the organizers, DV8 is a short walk from Heuston Station. The party finishes at 1am, so check late-night transport times before you go, especially if you are heading home by public transport. The Eventbrite listing says there is no parking at the venue. At past editions the fursuit lounge was short on space, and the organizers asked fursuiters to pack in a collapsible, recognisable bag rather than a hard case.
FNNY 2027 is on Saturday, January 9, 2027, from 6pm to 1am at DV8 Bar & Venue in Dublin 8.
Yes. It is a strictly 18+ event, and you must be 18 on the date of the party. Age is checked with government-issued ID, and bus passes and student cards are not accepted. At past editions the organizers also asked that the name on the ID match the name on the ticket.
General entry is 22 euro plus Eventbrite fees. The sponsor ticket is 35 euro plus fees and adds a goodie bag, but it is only available until November 8, 2026 at 6pm.
No. FNNY is a private ticketed event with no door sales, so you need to buy on Eventbrite before the night. Tickets have sold out within days in recent years.
No. Fursuits are very welcome and there is a changing room for suiters, but plenty of people come out of suit.
