Cornwall Furs is a furry group for Cornwall and the southwest, with a monthly meet in Truro. Meets are held at Happy Piranha on Pydar Street, usually on a Saturday from 11am to 3pm, and the group mascot, Lowen the badger, often makes an appearance.
A Cornwall Furs meet is a relaxed daytime social for furries, artists and creatives. Fursuiters are welcome, and the group sells stickers and Lowen keychains at its meets. Some meets have a theme: the October 2026 meet invited everyone to dress their spookiest and announced the winners of a Halloween art competition.
The meets are safe for work, and anyone breaking that rule is asked to stop or leave. Ask before taking photos of, or touching, any fursuiter, because costumes do not equal consent. The organizers point out that the venue is not very well ventilated, so look after your own hygiene, especially if you are suiting.
There is no advance ticket. Recent meets have a 3 GBP entry fee, paid directly to Happy Piranha at the desk when you arrive. Food and drink are available to buy on site, and the venue has asked attendees not to bring outside food or drink.
Most events are open to all ages. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian over 18, and each guardian can bring up to two under-16s. The group's Telegram chat is for ages 16 and over, while its Discord is open to all ages.
Follow the Cornwall Furs announcements channel for the date of each meet, because the day of the month changes.
Meets are at Happy Piranha, 18 Pydar Street, Truro, TR1 2AY. Special formats can start there and move on; the September 2026 picnic met at Happy Piranha before a fursuit walk to Victoria Gardens. Check the latest announcement for the meeting point before you travel.
The October 2026 meet was scheduled for Saturday, October 10, from 11am to 3pm. Each date is posted on the announcements channel, and the meet day moves from month to month.
Recent meets cost 3 GBP, paid to Happy Piranha on arrival.
