Heartland Howloween is a Halloween-themed furry convention in Omaha, Nebraska, the city's first furry con when it debuted in 2025. It pairs a hotel-con format with a strong party-floor and rave identity, plus a notably local charity.
Heartland Howloween returns October 9-11, 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Downtown (1616 Dodge St), moving downtown for its second year under the theme Full Moon Magic. Badge tiers start at $60 and climb to a top sponsor tier, with Dragon Roast Coffee announced as Guest of Honor and the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska's Youth Fund as the charity.
One timing note if you are still deciding: pre-registration closed on 21 August 2026, and the convention said on the same day that the Unique Unicorn, Lavish Lycanthrope and Credit Cryptid tiers would no longer be available. Credit Cryptid is the $300 tier, so that one takes the VIP lounge and the Friday banquet with it rather than just merchandise. The ladder on its own registration page still lists all six, so check what is actually on sale before you plan around anything above the base tier.

The step that actually changes the weekend is 300, which is where the VIP lounge and the Friday banquet start; everything below it differs only in merchandise. These are the prices the convention still lists, re-read on 12 September 2026, but three of the rungs may no longer be buyable: pre-registration closed at midnight on 21 August 2026 and the convention said on its own account that day that Unique Unicorn, Lavish Lycanthrope and Credit Cryptid would no longer be available. Credit Cryptid is the 300 tier, so that withdrawal takes the VIP lounge and the Friday banquet with it, not just merchandise. The ladder on the site was not updated to say so, so confirm what is still on sale before you budget for anything above the base tier.
