Woods Flock & Friends Fall Fest

Woods Flock & Friends Fall Fest is an annual furry campout held each October in Tennessee by the team behind the spring Woods Flock camp. It is a family-friendly weekend of group field camping, a chili cook-off, an artist market, games and Halloween activities. The 2026 Fall Fest runs October 16-18 at Defender's Retreat in Silver Point, the site of the Halloween Hollow haunt and corn maze. Saturday day passes are free.

What to Expect

Fall Fest is a fully outdoor campout, held rain or shine. Campers can arrive from 15:00 on Friday, October 16. Friday evening has a communal fire with hot dogs and s'mores, a charity variety show at 19:00, a costume and dance party, and stargazing with a telescope.

Saturday is the main day. The 2026 schedule includes an artist market from about 10:00, a morning welcome and trinket trading, a NERF war, the group photo and costume showcase, pumpkin carving, an animal education session with an opossum, chili cook-off judging and a shared chili dinner. In the evening there is tent or trunk trick-or-treating, more stargazing, and an optional group visit to Halloween Hollow. Quiet hours run from midnight to 06:00, and everyone leaves by 11:00 on Sunday.

Saturday day pass: free, with an optional $10 pass that supports Woods Flock and its charity and adds prize-drawing eligibility
Full weekend camping pass for a host with their own tent, camper or RV: $40
Full weekend pass for a camper staying with a host: $25
Children 17 and under: free, with a parent or guardian signing a waiver on arrival

There is no Friday day pass. Locals who want to join on Friday without camping can buy a variety show ticket instead, which covers the event from 15:00 to midnight. Halloween Hollow group tickets are sold separately.

How to Get There

Defender's Retreat is at 14225 Old Baxter Road, Silver Point, Tennessee, in Putnam County. Enter through the main gates and park on the right-hand stage side of the road; the left side is for Halloween Hollow visitors. Check-in is at the first silo pavilion. Campers may park up to two vehicles beside their site, and the venue has plenty of parking.

Bring your own camping gear and supplies. Portable toilets are set up behind the stage, and the flush toilets and showers at the large pavilion across the field can be used outside Halloween Hollow's public hours of 18:00 to 22:00.

No. Fall Fest is the organizer's separate autumn campout. The spring Woods Flock camp, Camp Cosmic, is scheduled for April 23-25, 2027 at Fall Creek Falls State Park.
