SoCal FurBowl is a Southern California furry bowling meet held at Irvine Lanes and run by Paw Print Events, the team behind the Furvine furmeet. Bowl in or out of fursuit, or skip the lanes entirely and just hang out. It's a relaxed evening built around good company.
The meet offers about two hours of bowling at Irvine Lanes. Attendees who want to bowl pay a fee; those who just want to socialize can come for free. Pizza and the usual bowling-alley snacks and drinks are available to buy. Suiting is optional, and plenty of people bowl out of suit. Near the end of the night, the group heads outside for a photo on the steps of the bowling alley, a tradition carried over since the event began.
Bowling costs $25; attending just to mingle is free. Dates are announced by the organizers through SoCalFurs and Paw Print Events' channels. The event runs only a few times a year, so watch their announcements rather than expecting a fixed monthly slot.
Irvine Lanes is at 3415 Michelson Dr, Irvine, CA 92612, in Orange County with on-site parking and easy freeway access from across the SoCal metro.
SoCal FurBowl launched on July 20, 2024, splitting off from the monthly Furvine furmeet once that event had outgrown a shared night. The first FurBowl drew around 70 people, and turnout has since climbed to roughly 110.
No. You can bowl in or out of suit, and you're welcome to come just to socialize without bowling at all.
It's $25 if you want to bowl. Coming along just to hang out and mingle is free, and food and drinks are available to buy separately.
Only a few times a year, roughly every few months, unlike the monthly Furvine furmeet it spun off from.
