Turn any PNG, JPG or WEBP into a Telegram sticker, custom emoji or pack icon at the exact size Telegram asks for. Remove the background, add an outline, convert a whole pack at once, and download a ZIP. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Sticker Settings

Changes apply to every image in the batch straight away.

Classic sticker look removes the background and adds the white outline and soft shadow Telegram recommends.

Output

Recommended. The long side becomes exactly 512 px and nothing is padded, so the sticker shows at full size in chat.

File format

If a PNG comes out over 512 KB, the tool switches that file to WEBP at the highest quality that fits.

Pack limits: 120 stickers per sticker pack, 200 per emoji pack, and 1 to 20 emoji per sticker. Checked against Telegram’s sticker documentation and the Bot API on 24 September 2026. This converter makes static stickers, emoji and icons; it does not make video or TGS stickers.

How to make a Telegram sticker pack

  1. 1

    Convert your images

Drop your art into the converter above, pick an output (sticker, emoji or pack icon), add an outline if you like, and download the PNG or WEBP files. For a whole pack, add every image at once and download the ZIP.

  2. 2

    Open the @Stickers bot

In Telegram, search for @Stickers, open the official bot and press Start.

  3. 3

    Start a new pack

Send /newpack and then the name people will see for your pack.

  4. 4

Upload each sticker as a file

Attach the downloaded file as a file or document, not as a photo. Telegram compresses photos and the bot rejects them. After each file, send one or more emoji that match the sticker.

  5. 5

    Publish the pack

Send /publish. Upload a 100×100 pack icon or send /skip to use your first sticker, then choose a short name. Your pack lives at t.me/addstickers/ followed by that name.

To add more stickers later, send /addsticker to the same bot and pick your pack. Share the pack by sending anyone one of its stickers or the t.me/addstickers link.

Telegram’s built-in sticker editor

Since April 2024 the Telegram app can also turn a photo into a sticker and build a pack without the bot: open the sticker panel in any chat and tap the plus button. It is quick on a phone. Use this converter when you are working from finished art files on a computer, want exact 512 px or 100×100 output, need emoji or a pack icon, or are preparing a whole pack at once.

PNG to TGS: why it does not work

TGS files are Telegram’s animated stickers. They are vector animations in the Lottie format, exported from Adobe After Effects with the Bodymovin-TG plugin, and Telegram’s rules forbid embedded images inside them. So a PNG cannot become a real TGS sticker: a tool that claims to do it can only wrap the picture in a file Telegram will reject.

If your sticker does not move, you do not need TGS at all. Convert it above and upload the PNG or WEBP to a normal sticker pack. If you want movement from drawn frames or a clip, the route is a WEBM video sticker (VP9, up to 3 seconds and 256 KB).

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Telegram sticker?

A static Telegram sticker needs one side exactly 512 pixels and the other side 512 pixels or less, as a PNG or WEBP file under 512 KB. It does not have to be square: a 512×300 sticker is valid. Custom emoji and pack icons are exactly 100×100 pixels.

Do Telegram stickers have to be 512×512?

No. Only the longer side has to be 512 pixels. Padding wide art out to a 512×512 square is allowed, but it makes the sticker look smaller in chat, which is why this converter defaults to a 512 px long side with no padding. Pick the square option if you want every sticker in a pack to line up.

Why is my Telegram sticker blurry?

Usually the source image was smaller than 512 pixels and had to be enlarged, or the file was sent to the bot as a photo, which Telegram compresses. Start from the largest original you have, and always send stickers to @Stickers as a file. The converter warns you when it had to enlarge an image.

My sticker file is too big. How do I get it under 512 KB?

Detailed or photographic images can produce a PNG over 512 KB. The converter checks every file and, if a PNG is over the limit, saves it as WEBP at the highest quality that fits. You can also choose WEBP from the start for smaller files.

Can I convert a PNG to TGS?

Not in any useful way. TGS is Telegram’s vector animation format, built in Adobe After Effects with the Bodymovin-TG plugin, and Telegram’s rules forbid embedded images in it. A still picture belongs in a normal sticker pack as PNG or WEBP. For movement, make a WEBM video sticker instead.

How do I add a white border to a Telegram sticker?

Turn up the Outline slider in the converter. It traces the edge of transparent art and draws an even border in the colour you choose, and the Drop shadow option adds the dark shadow Telegram itself recommends. On art with a solid background, tick Remove background first, or press Classic sticker look to get the cut-out, white outline and shadow in one step.

Does the sticker need a transparent background?

It is not strictly required, but Telegram recommends one, and stickers with a transparent background look far better in chat. Tick Remove background and an AI model cuts your character out on your own device. For fiddly edges you want to fix by hand, the free Background Remover tool has a manual eraser.

How many stickers can a Telegram pack hold?

A sticker pack holds up to 120 stickers and a custom emoji pack up to 200. Each sticker can be tagged with 1 to 20 emoji.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing, outlining, compression and background removal all run in your browser. The background model is downloaded to your device once and runs there, so your images never leave it and nothing is stored on our servers.
