How It Works & Tips

This tool uses a "magic eraser" flood fill — it removes all connected pixels of a similar color. Works best on solid, near-solid, or gradient backgrounds (studio photos, reference sheets, badge art). All processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Best Backgrounds to Remove

Solid white, grey, or colored studio backgrounds. Gradient backgrounds. Simple flat backgrounds on artwork.

Tolerance Tuning

Start at 25. If too little is removed, increase it. If parts of your subject disappear, decrease it and click again on remaining background areas.

Multi-Click Technique

Click different spots on the background to remove it in sections. This is especially useful for backgrounds with multiple colors or gradients.

Use Restore Mode

If part of your subject gets removed, switch to "Restore Area" mode and click on it to bring it back. You can undo mistakes too.
