The MNFurs Spring Picnic is a free, day-long potluck gathering in a Twin Cities regional park, run by Minnesota Furs, a registered nonprofit. The 2026 edition is themed "Flower Fair!" and moves to a new home at the Long Lake Regional Park Pavilion. Grillmasters handle lunch and dinner while attendees bring dishes to share, suit up, and socialize all day.
The day opens at 10:00 AM, with badges and merch available from 10:45 AM. Grilling and announcements begin around 12:30 PM, and the group photo is at 1:00 PM. It is a potluck, so attendees bring dishes to share while the grillmasters cook both lunch and dinner. Fursuiting is welcome, the crowd is beginner-friendly, and the 2026 theme is "Flower Fair!" Please note that no alcohol or recreational drugs are permitted at the picnic.
The picnic is free to attend, so just come along. Limited-edition badges are available for a suggested $15 donation. Because Minnesota Furs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, those donations help support the community. Bring a potluck dish to share if you can. Details and the confirmed date are posted on the MNFurs website.
For 2026 the picnic is held at the Long Lake Regional Park Pavilion in New Brighton, Minnesota, in the Twin Cities metro area, with park parking on site.
No. Fursuiting is welcome but optional, and plenty of attendees come out of suit to enjoy the food and company.
