The picnic at Parc Michel-Chartrand is an early-summer furry meet in Longueuil, on Montreal's South Shore. The organizer is the Association des Événements Anthropomorphiques du Québec (AÉAQ), an association that organizes furry events in Quebec. It took place in June 2024 and June 2025. The next date is not announced yet.
The picnic runs on a Saturday from 11 am to about 4 pm. The day starts with a welcome, then lunch, then fursuiting and free time in the park. A group photo is taken in the afternoon. The 2024 plan listed the afternoon as fursuiting and free activities, and fursuits are welcome.
Bring your own cold lunch, a water bottle, and a blanket or chair, because the picnic tables are limited and nothing is provided. The meet is open to all ages. Children 14 and under need parental authorization or a family member with them, and children 12 and under must come with a family member.
No ticket is needed, and no fee is named for the picnic. AÉAQ activities are open to members and non-members. Watch the AÉAQ announcement channel and the AÉAQ activities page for dates and updates.
The meet uses the picnic tables near the parking lot at Parc Michel-Chartrand, 1895 Rue Adoncour, Longueuil. A bus stops in front of the park, and parking is free with plenty of space. AÉAQ suggests carpooling, and there are fast food restaurants about ten minutes away on foot.
No date is announced yet. The last two picnics were in early June, and AÉAQ posts details a few weeks ahead.
Yes, it is all ages. Children 14 and under need parental authorization or a family member with them, and children 12 and under must come with a family member.
AÉAQ decides in the week before the picnic and posts any change on its channel. Heavy rain can postpone or cancel the meet.
