Did You Know?

  • *The official programme has only three fixed points: an opening ceremony, a group photo taken at 15:00, and a closing ceremony at 19:00.
  • *Attendees can take character photos on the Fukuoka Tower observation deck and in Seaside Momochi Beach Park, inside a mapped outdoor area.
  • *The participant cap grew from 80 at the first two editions to 120 at the third and fourth.

Kemono Space Fukuoka (KSF) is a one-day fursuit gathering held in the halls of Fukuoka Tower, the city's landmark tower in the Seaside Momochi waterfront district. The organizer, Kemono Space, says its aim is to bring a space for kemono characters to Fukuoka, and the event has drawn attendees from Japan and abroad since its first edition in 2022.

Four editions ran between 2022 and 2025, each on a Saturday in November. There is no edition in 2026, and the organizer plans the fifth Kemono Space Fukuoka for autumn 2027.

What to Expect

The organizer keeps the programme simple on purpose. The 2025 schedule opened the doors at 10:30, held an opening ceremony at 11:00, took the group photo at 15:00, held the closing ceremony at 19:00 and closed at 20:00. The rest of the day is for meeting people and characters, inside the hall and around the tower.

Photography is allowed in the main hall, on the tower's ground floor and observation deck, and in a mapped outdoor area by Seaside Momochi Beach Park. Changing rooms and the wedding hall in the building are off limits for photos, and tripods, lighting stands and drones are banned. Every fursuiter who leaves the main hall needs at least one attendant, and greeting the public outside the hall is not allowed. Costumes or props with sexual, violent or political messages, and replica weapons, are prohibited.

First-time attendees can read our first-con survival guide for basic etiquette and what to bring.

How to Get Tickets

Registration is online only, and there are no walk-in places on the day. For the 2025 edition, the organizer sold a general ticket for ¥3,000 and a fursuit ticket for ¥4,500 through Peatix, capped at 120 people across both types. Fukuoka Tower's own admission fee was not included. Tickets were for one person each and could not be transferred.

Prices and the registration window for 2027 have not been announced. Watch the official website and the Kemono Space Fukuoka X account for the fifth edition. The organizer does not answer questions by DM or reply, and asks people to use the contact form on the website instead.

How to Get There

Kemono Space Fukuoka takes place at Fukuoka Tower, 2-3-26 Momochihama, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka 814-0001. In 2025 the event was held in Tower Hall 1, entered from the tower's north or south entrance and marked by a pillar reading "TOWER HALL 1". Earlier editions used Tower Halls 2, 3 and A in the same building.

Fukuoka Tower lists Nishitetsu bus 306 from Hakata Bus Terminal and buses W1 and 302 from Tenjin, getting off at Fukuoka Tower Minamiguchi or TNC Hoso Kaikan-mae. By subway, take the Airport Line to Nishijin Station, then walk or take a bus to the tower.
