Fur The Record, or FtR, is a furry rave in Glasgow put on by FuRN, a collective of furry DJs and enthusiasts based in and around the city. Each edition is a themed afternoon-into-evening party with a line-up of DJs playing underground electronic music, plus a games corner, and recent editions have had a merch desk. Five editions ran between June 2024 and June 2026, and the organizers have promised more, but the next date and venue have not been announced.
FtR runs for about six hours, from the afternoon until 10pm, with back-to-back DJ sets. The FtR5 line-up ran from a mellow psych-folk opening act to closing sets of breakcore and hardcore. Every edition has its own theme and dress-up spirit; FtR5 was a seaside Beach Episode, and earlier parties were Kobold Katastrophe and Tune Town. Next to the dancefloor there is an area with retro consoles, TVs and couches.
Stewards, photographers and logistics crew wear colour-coded tops, and you can wear a no-photography wristband if you do not want to be photographed. The rules come down to peace, love, unity and respect: ask before photographing or touching people, keep your outfit covering your nether regions, and do not bring your own alcohol. The organizers describe the party as kink friendly. FtR also runs a raffle and a merch desk, and the money raised has gone to queer and trans support groups.
Tickets are sold on Skiddle, linked from the official site and announced on the Fur The Record Telegram channel and Bluesky. At FtR5 all sales were online at 15 GBP, with no door sales, and FtR3 sold all 300 advance tickets. Ticket buyers have to be 18 or over, and valid ID is needed on the night.
Follow the Telegram channel, where each new date and ticket release is posted first.
All five editions so far were held at The Flying Duck, 142 Renfield Street, Glasgow, a basement venue a short walk from Buchanan Bus Station and Cowcaddens subway station. FtR5 was the series' last party at the Flying Duck, so the next edition will be somewhere new. The new venue will be posted on the official site and Telegram channel once it is chosen.
No date has been announced yet. After FtR5 in June 2026 the organizers said they would share news when plans come together, so watch the Telegram channel.
Yes. Only people aged 18 or over can buy a ticket, and valid ID has to be shown.
FtR5, the latest edition, cost 15 GBP online. Prices for the next edition have not been announced.
At the Flying Duck the organizers warned that access was not good, because the venue is a basement reached by a long flight of stairs. The next venue has not been announced, so contact the organizers if you need help getting in.
