Camp Conifur is an 18+ furry summer camp in the Niagara Region of Ontario. Local furries started it in 2026 to give the community a weekend of classic camp activities: swimming, hiking, crafts, capture the flag, a tuck shop, evening dances and group photos. The first camp ran on September 12-14, 2026 at Camp Wetaskiwin, a scouts campground in St. Catharines. Dates for 2027 have not been announced.
The organizers describe Camp Conifur as a "create your own fun" camp. For 2026 the organizers planned a few games such as capture the flag and Pred vs. Prey, and encouraged campers to fill the rest of the weekend with their own panels and meet-ups. Everyone is sorted into one of four troops, which compete for points in games and challenges across the weekend.
The Main Lodge is the hub. It holds the tuck shop, crafts and games by day and a deliberately low-tech dance at night, with guest DJ sets planned for one night in 2026. The 2026 programme also had pool time, a trading post for dealers and campers, and a charity collection.
The campground is rustic. Cabin bunks are bare wood with no mattresses, there are no showers, and only the Main Lodge is wheelchair accessible. Alcohol and drugs are banned on the property at the venue's request, and smoking and vaping are not allowed on site. The daytime dress code follows the scouts camp's family-values request, with more freedom after dark.
Registration for 2027 has not opened. For the 2026 camp, registration ran through RegFox from June 19 to August 27. The Attendee tier was $85, with Sponsor at $250 and Patron at $750. Bringing your own tent and food cost nothing extra, a shared cabin bunk added $60, and full catering added $100.
Watch the official site and the Telegram updates channel for the 2027 announcement. Cabin places were scarce in 2026, so book early if you want a bunk.
Camp Wetaskiwin is at 3072 Scout Camp Rd, St. Catharines, ON L2R 6P7, inside Short Hills Provincial Park. Parking is very limited: the organizers said about 25 spaces were available for more than 100 campers in 2026, and asked people to carpool or take a ride-share. Check-in in 2026 opened at 9:00 on the Saturday with government-issued ID, and the latest entry was 11:30.
Yes. The code of conduct says Camp Conifur does not permit minors on site at any time, and check-in requires government-issued ID.
No. The campground has no showers, so the organizers ask campers to plan for that. Cabin bunks are also bare wood, so bring your own mat or sleeping bag whether you camp in a tent or a cabin.
The date has not been announced. The official schedule and Guest of Honour pages say 2027 is coming soon.
No. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed anywhere on the Camp Wetaskiwin property, including the parking lot and your tent, and the code of conduct says anyone found with them will be removed.
