Steel City Beasts

Steel City Beasts

Steel City Beasts is a fursuit-friendly queer dance night in Hamilton, Ontario. It began in January 2026 and has run five events since, mostly on Thursday nights at Andthenyou on Main Street East. The next Steel City Beasts is on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Venue, times and tickets for that night are still to be posted.

What to Expect

Most nights so far ran from 10 pm to 2 am at Andthenyou, with DJs from the furry community. The music has included house, melodic bass, dubstep and drum and bass. In August 2026 the group tried a Sunday daytime event at Ringside on James Street North, with music, vendors and a headless lounge from 3 pm to 9 pm. Free earplugs are available at the door.

Steel City Beasts is 19+, and staff check ID at the door. The organizers have said that people without ID were turned away, so bring a valid ID even if you are in suit.

How to Get Tickets

Tickets for past nights were sold on Resident Advisor. Online tickets were CAD 10, or CAD 10 plus HST in May 2026. The August daytime event had 40 early bird tickets at CAD 15 plus tax, then CAD 20 plus tax. Past nights also sold tickets at the door, including pay-what-you-can tickets, and in February the door tickets were cash only. The first night's advance tickets sold out the day before, so buy early when the November link is posted.

Prices for November 19, 2026 are not announced yet. Watch the Steel City Beasts Telegram channel for the ticket link.

How to Get There

The venue for November 19, 2026 is not announced yet. Four of the five past nights were at Andthenyou, 145 Main St E, Hamilton, and the August event was at Ringside, 324 James St N. Many guests travel in from the Toronto area, so the organizers have posted travel tips on the channel before events. The group also runs a chat for trip planning and questions.
