Las Vegas Fur Con 2026 Recap: Medieval Chivalry, 4,609 Attendees, and a 27-Second 2027 Sell-Out

The 4th edition of Nevada's only major furry convention ran April 2 to 5, 2026 at the Alexis Park Resort in Paradise, NV under the theme "Medieval Chivalry." It pulled in 4,609 attendees (a record by a wide margin and a 52.7% jump from 2025's 3,022) and raised $21,908.55 for the LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas. By the time the 2027 registration window opened seven weeks later, the convention's reputation had compounded enough that LVFC 2027 registration sold out in 27 seconds.

LVFC 2026 was the convention's biggest year by every measurable axis, and the first time it crossed from "growing regional event" into "consistently-talked-about mainline U.S. furcon" territory.

Travel logistics, hotel detail, and prior editions are covered on the Las Vegas Fur Con convention page.

Key Takeaways

  • 4,609 attendees in 2026: a record, up 52.7% from 2025's 3,022. LVFC has more than tripled in size since its 2023 debut (1,483) and is now the largest furcon in the U.S. Mountain West / Southwest region.
  • $21,908.55 raised for the LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas: up from 2025's $15,110 to Gender Diverse and Trans Pride Center. LVFC continues its founding tradition of routing every year's charity into a Las Vegas-area LGBTQ+ organization.
  • Theme: "Medieval Chivalry": high fantasy in the neon desert. Knights, banners, heraldic crests, and Vegas-style staging.
  • Guests of Honor: Aydan Fox, Marks Barks, Cloud Husky, Suka Vulpe, a four-strong GoH lineup.
  • LVFC 2027 registration sold out in 27 seconds per the convention's own announcement on May 30, 2026. The instant sell-out put LVFC alongside Anthrocon and Megaplex on the short list of U.S. furcons whose registration is now effectively a click-race.
  • LVFC 2027 announced: "Just Like Clockwork," running March 25 to 28, 2027 at Alexis Park.

The Theme: Medieval Chivalry

After 2025's space-opera "Ad Vegastra" (a Vegas-ifying of Ad Astra) and 2024's "Nuclear A-Paw-Calypse," LVFC pivoted hard for 2026 into high fantasy. "Medieval Chivalry" gave the convention's volunteer art and decor teams a banner-and-heraldry visual vocabulary that played surprisingly well against the Alexis Park Resort's existing all-suites Vegas architecture, knights-and-pavilions decor inside the resort's open-courtyard footprint produced photo zones that didn't look quite like any other U.S. furcon's 2026 theme weekend.

How far LVFC takes its annual theme remains one of the things that distinguishes it from larger mainline cons that lean more on celebrity GoH bookings than on theme staging. Where Anthrocon and MFF treat themes as a programming overlay, LVFC builds the year around its theme.

Vegas rewards planning. Our first con survival guide and convention budgeting guide cover the basics, and the budgeting guide is especially worth reading for an LVFC trip given how dramatically off-Strip lodging costs differ from the Strip itself.

The Numbers: 4,609 Attendees, +52.7% YoY

The headline figure landed via the convention's own closing-day announcement, picked up and amplified across community channels: 4,609 attendees, a 52.7% year-over-year increase over 2025's 3,022. That growth rate is dramatic at a convention already past 3,000, for context, the 2024→2025 jump was 41% (2,141 → 3,022) and the 2023→2024 jump was 44% (1,483 → 2,141). LVFC's growth curve is accelerating, not decelerating, which is the opposite of the typical pattern at this scale.

The accelerating curve has two structural drivers worth flagging:

  • Geography: LVFC fills a real West Coast / Mountain West gap on the U.S. furcon calendar. The only other 4,000-plus West Coast event is Further Confusion in San Jose, which runs in January and has its own competing draw against Anthro Northwest. Attendees from Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and inland California don't have a closer mainline option.
  • 21+ branding: LVFC is explicitly a 21+ convention, which differentiates it from the all-ages mainline events. For a slice of the fandom that wants a convention that includes Vegas-style nightlife integration without programming compromises for younger attendees, LVFC is the only major option of its kind.

The combination (geographic gap + 21+ niche) produces the kind of compounding demand that's hard to slow.

Charity: LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas

LVFC has anchored its charity rotation in Las Vegas-area LGBTQ+ organizations since its 2023 debut. The progression so far:

  • 2023: Las Vegas TransPride, $6,220 raised
  • 2024: Las Vegas TransPride, $10,352.97 raised
  • 2025: Gender Diverse and Trans Pride Center, $15,110 raised
  • 2026: LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas, $21,908.55 raised

The 2026 total is a 45% increase over 2025 and continues a 4-year run of every-year-larger charity totals. The decision to keep the beneficiary local (not regional, not national) has produced a clear identity for the convention's charity arm: every dollar raised at LVFC stays in Clark County and supports LGBTQ+ community infrastructure that attendees pass on their way into the Strip.

How convention charity actually moves, through the auction, panel donations, and dance-floor fundraising, is broken down in our convention budgeting guide.

The 2027 Sell-Out: 27 Seconds

The single most-discussed moment from LVFC 2026 came after the convention closed: LVFC 2027 registration sold out in 27 seconds when it opened, per the convention's own announcement on May 30, 2026. The instant sell-out put LVFC alongside Anthrocon and Megaplex as a U.S. furcon whose registration window is now effectively a click-race rather than a multi-day rolling window.

Three things drive an instant sell-out at this scale:

  1. Venue cap: Alexis Park's all-suites footprint has a fixed maximum room count. Unlike a Strip mega-resort that can absorb a 50% demand surge by adding tower floors to a room block, an all-suites resort can't expand its cap mid-cycle.
  2. Compounding demand: 4,609 attendees told a friend, and the friend wants in for 2027.
  3. Loyalty priority: LVFC's published priority window gives returning attendees first-pass access ahead of the public open, meaning the public-open window opens to a smaller residual pool, which itself drains faster.

If you missed the 27-second window, our furry convention hotel block guide covers what to do when a convention sells out before you click submit. Watch the convention's official Telegram for transfer windows, second-pass releases, and waitlist openings.

What's Next: Just Like Clockwork, March 2027

The convention confirmed LVFC 2027: "Just Like Clockwork" for March 25 to 28, 2027 at Alexis Park. The theme reveal (steampunk-and-mechanism iconography, gears and brass and pocket watches as a visual register) is a sharp turn away from 2026's high-fantasy chivalry. Where "Medieval Chivalry" leaned on banners and heraldry, "Just Like Clockwork" suggests staging built around precision-mechanism aesthetics and a tonal shift toward Victorian-industrial design.

The 2027 dates also move the convention earlier in the calendar by about a week (April 2 → March 25), which compresses the gap to Furry Weekend Atlanta (early May) and slightly widens the gap from Texas Furry Fiesta (late March) to a single weekend's overlap risk.
