Howl and Chow

Howl and Chow

Howl and Chow is a monthly furry dinner meet in San Antonio, Texas, run by River City Furry Events, the nonprofit behind San Antonio Furs. Each month the group takes over a different local restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 7 pm. The November 2026 date is not published yet.

What to Expect

Howl and Chow is a sit-down meal with other local furries. Recent editions were at an IHOP and Applebee's pair in July 2026, an Olive Garden in August, Kimura Ramen in September and Umiya Sushi in October. The community sometimes votes on where to eat next. The organizers share photos from the meets in a public Flickr album afterwards.

Fursuit rules change from month to month. In September 2026 fursuits were welcome, while in October they were for photos only. Read the announcement for the month you plan to attend.

How to Get Tickets

There is no entry fee, and everyone orders and pays for their own food. Recent editions asked everyone to RSVP with a Google Form linked from the announcement. Fill in the form for the month you plan to attend.

How to Get There

The restaurant changes every month, and the address is in each announcement. Follow the River City Furry Events Telegram channel or the monthly furmeet page on sanantoniofurs.com for the next one.
