Pawstar is a furry accessories and clothing brand that makes its products at its headquarters in Racine, Wisconsin. The official site and social profiles describe it as making "fun furry fashion since 2003" and as an LGBTQ+ owned business. Milwaukee Record reported in February 2019 that the company, which began in a home basement in 2003, was moving from Illinois into a building in Racine's Uptown neighborhood.
The online shop is organized around ears, tails, paws, hats and hoods, clothing, leather, and jewelry. Ears come on headbands, hair clips, or headphone-style attachments, and tails are sold by size from a 5-inch "Nano" up to a "Mega" of 60 inches or more, with belt or clip attachments. The clothing section covers kigurumis, hoodies, shrugs, arm sleeves, and leg warmers, including a goth-styled line the brand calls DarkStarFusion. The leather section sells collars, cuffs, harnesses, leashes, and collar extenders.
Many products are offered as "Color-Swap" or custom listings, where the buyer chooses the fur, fleece, leather, or hardware colors for each part. The catalog was live with purchasable products when checked on 23 September 2026.
Pawstar also sells in person at conventions and says in its site navigation that it vends at more than 40 events a year around the United States.
The Paw Store is Pawstar's own walk-in shop, run inside its headquarters building. The official help center calls it "our warehouse shop," and the store address on the Paw Store page matches the business address in Pawstar's contact information: 1236 13th St, Racine, WI 53403. Production and office areas are closed to visitors, according to the same help center, so the shop is the public part of the building.
According to the official Paw Store page, the shop carries Pawstar products alongside work by other artists and makers, and offers in-store ear piercings and help with custom orders. The same page says it hosts monthly game nights, DIY workshops, and other community events.
As of 23 September 2026, the page listed opening hours of 12 PM to 6 PM Tuesday through Thursday and 12 PM to 4 PM on Friday, closed Saturday through Monday, with extra evening and weekend hours for special events. It also said the store was open during a remodel and announced a Grand Re-Opening Party for 23 October 2026. Hours have changed several times since the shop's soft opening in September 2025, so check the Paw Store page before making a trip.
The shipping policy says all orders ship with USPS Priority Mail and that no express option is offered. In-stock items are processed within five business days, made-to-order items ship in one to six weeks according to the shipping policy (the help center allows three to eight weeks for custom and color-swap work), and an order that mixes the two ships once everything is ready. The help center says Pawstar ships worldwide and that buyers outside the United States may owe customs fees on delivery.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery, only with prior approval from customer service, and items must be in like-new condition with no scents, hair, glitter, or signs of washing. The policy says a restocking fee may apply.
